Attack of the '70s! Crank it up for some of the most amazing jazz-rock fusion trumpet playing you'll ever hear. Four trumpets and a wicked rhythm section. !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! recorded three albums. The first song on the first album was "Open Up Wide", the last song on the third album was "Close Up Tight." Soon after, Chase and his rhythm section, along with two pilots, were killed in a plane crash in Minnesota in 1974. So much of this music reminds me of every TV cop show in the '70s. But that's not to trivialize it. This is some truly incredible playing.

Also. Jesus. Those notes are high in the first song. That's insane. Thanks for sharing.
Also: Have a good trip drive safe. Tell the kids to keep their hands to themselves. LOL.
every single roadtrip my dad would tell me and my brother that.
My car is no longer road trip worthy....it has some unpredictable handling issues I need to get resolved. I think my right side ball joint is dead.

Thanks! I'll check it out after Chase. Ever heard of Jesus Alemańy? If you like Cuban music, I think you'll dig this.

Gonna put this one in the back pocket for later since I leave work in 8 minutes and really have to book it, but I'll check it out.

I like it! Sort of a Cuban hip hop groove with a definite homage to Bill Chase. Thanks!

I imagine you've already heard this, but the opening of Cronus blows my mind every time. The agility and accuracy are remarkable. It sounds like a Jolivet concerto. Or worse. Of course, it helps when your mouthpiece is a dime with a hole drilled in it.
